Wednesday (Studio): I arrived late to class today. Apparently the morning class was doing rigging. It was a shame I wasn’t able to attend as I was having trouble installing and using MGear on my laptop, and hoped that doing so in class would teach me the process.

Later in the afternoon class, Lesley provided more examples of good animations shorts, though the lecture focused more on teaching how to construct a good ending for a story. We then got into pairs with other people and gave each other feedback on our storyboard this time, trying to see the story through them. The same with last week, it seems that my setting hasn’t been established well to be clear enough, and the same goes for my message. I was also inspired by today’s animation examples, and my appointed pair for today, Sakura, having a good example of a simple, or rather clear story.

[Feedback]:

  • Try to analyse the story beats in my story.

  • Rewrite my story

  • Do more storyboards

  • Continue on from last week’s feedback.

P.S, the images below are reactionary images given by people who looked at my work and provided feedback in these past two weeks.
