Monday (Theory): We had one-on-one’s with the lecture today. My one was with Lesley and she gave me a lot of good feedback.
[Feedback is:]
Break down my key words into my definitions. This would help with the annotations
Find my annotations and look into more relevant sources
Don’t worry about the Research Question for now as that’s something that we will work with Lesley on throughout the semester.
My “Lego Movie” annotation is a very good case study so I should further refine it?

Wednesday (Studio): I worked on the materials I needed for my pitch to present today. I wasn’t able to finish all of them but I did make a lot of progress- I stayed up all night reworking my treatment to be more simpler and shorter (since it is 90 seconds to work with after all). This reworked the story of course so I also did some concept doodles, new (“final”) moodboard and refined the logline and tagline. I will work on the rest later in class. On time before I present hopefully.
Update: I worked on the thumbnails in class and also found a working title for my story. We were presenting and I was rushing to get everything done on time. It was inspiring to see how other people pitched their work and what they chose to show. Taking a page out of this I also added some slides of my progress from the start of week 1 to show how I developed my work. This helped me start on refining a new research question. I will be posting relevant slides of the pitch that I just compiled following after this.
Update II: Because of time constraints, not everyone was able to present to the class. This makes sense since there is 24 students in the class with at most 10 minutes each between them (though realistically this would be flexible), so some students would be left out for next week to present. I was part of the 5 students to do so, so I plan to update more my work and refine it for the presentation next week. If there was something that came out of the pressure in setting up my pitch presentation despite not being able to actually present, then it is that I now have a clearer idea on how to move forward in both research and practice.
Question for personal thought:
How can dynamic elements in animation be used to create a personality that catches the audience's interest?
