[WEEK 4] Analysis and Reflection

Research Question (revised):

How can animation be dynamically expressed so as to show personality that catches the audience's interest?

  • freedom of expression?

Current Keywords

If I were to define my keywords that I currently at this point in my research, it would be:

Excitement

  • Cool

    • Animatic Flair

    • "Smooth" animation- good timing and good spacing, and good posing, and good staging good proper use of animation principles.

Dynamic

  • Creative

    • Concepts in the dynamic sequence (middle section), for movement in weaving through obstacles.

  • Inspirational

    • All the other elements contribute to this. And also a good story with good cinematography

Anime/Cartoon

The style of my work is similar in how it blends a lot of elements from other genres into one, and that's how it becomes entertainment. There is a certain way that those elements are executed, and therefore expected, such as in anime in "slice-of-life" moments, and intentional comedic moments

Comedy

  • Light-hearted

  • Personality

  • Family-friendly

Thriller

  • From looking at definitions, this seems to stem more from the narrative itself rather than through high-intensity action sequences that I am looking for. So this doesn't seem like a keyword that I am looking for.
